The world’s first closed wine region was established in Tokaj-Hegyalja. Tokaj-Hegyalja was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.

Tokaj dry wine stye
Excellent structured wines, with high, vivid acidity, higher alcohol level, and fuller body. The flavor characteristic is very complex, ripe stone fruits (peach, nectarine, apricot) juicy white and yellow apple, quince, white flower, honey, almond, chestnut, steely, stony, salty minerality and sweet spices, nut flavors due to the common practice of oak ageing. Huge ageing potential, 5-15 years in terms of high-quality, oak aged wines.
