Villány wine region’s grape varieties (52 officially allowed wine grapes)
Red grapes on approximately 1900 ha represents 80% of the total vineyard area. The most important red grape varieties are:

- Portugieser – 325 hectares
- Kékfrankos – 305 hectares
- Merlot – 302 hectares
